Earlier this week, Yoanny Justiz and Luis Marin pleaded guilty to their role in a 12-person cargo theft ring that lasted from June 2012 to April 2015 resulting in $1.5 million worth the stolen trucks and merchandise. Nine of the twelve indicted has pleaded guilty so far.
According to authorities, the men stole tractor trailers in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania that were carrying high-end clothing, beer, auto parts, bicycles, food, beauty and health products, among others, bringing the stolen goods to warehouses and lots in New Jersey, Brooklyn and Bronx, NY. 1, 2
Authorities recovered some of the stolen merchandise including GNC fish capsules that were taken in May 2013 and valued at $152,000, $120,000 worth of catalytic converters stolen in NJ, $165,000 of Moroccanoil hair and body products which were stolen in PA, Bell bicycle parts valued at $77,000 in NJ, and $88,000 worth the bedding in NJ, and others. 3
Marin and Justiz will be sentenced in June and face 9 years in prison. 4
The seven others who pleaded guilty previously are looking at the following recommended sentences:

-Angel Dominguez…7 years in prison
-Pedro Arias…5 years in prison
-Carlos Toriac-Almira…18 months in prison
-Kenneth Manus…364 days in county jail
-Hector Rivas…364 in county jail
-Wilson Ferrer-Reyes…364 days in county jail
