Road Scholar Transport has been a reliable source for LTL and Truckload shipping in the Mid-Atlantic/New England regions since 1988 but its company philosophy goes well beyond that of a typical trucking company. Here is a look at some of things you may not know about our company.
On September 11th 2001, our country came together after we suffered an unimaginable loss that changed our world as we knew it — forever. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 attacks including; New York City police officers, firefighters, and paramedics who were all struggling to complete evacuations of the buildings and save the trapped office workers.1 Each anniversary of the attacks we remember all of the victims of this devastating event. Our 9/11 Rolling Memorial truck’s intent is to make sure we — NEVER FORGET.
From medical conditions to missing persons and even our furry friends, Road Scholar Transport’s awareness campaign has been attracting the attention of people all across the nation and continues to grow each year. This May, our trucks are working overtime to help spread the word during Lupus awareness month.
You may have seen Road Scholar Transport’s Road Home Foundation awareness truck on the road, “Quietly supporting injured warriors and their families in times of need.” But what exactly is the Road Home Foundation and where did the idea to create a truck for them come about? Vice President & Board of Director for the Road Home Foundation for Injured Warriors and Families’ Michael Docherty explains:
Nearly 600,000 people are expected to pass away from cancer this year, accounting for 1 in every 4 deaths in the U.S. (the second most common cause of death in America). 1 Over 1.6 million new cases are predicted this year. 1 But did you know that an estimated 1/3 of cases (about 374,000 lives) can be prevented by “eating healthy, being active, and staying lean?” 2
